Alfred Currier-   Lifelong artist, Currier received his formal education at Columbus College of Art and Design and the American Academy of Art in Chicago, where he earned his degree in Fine Art.  He is an artist member of the prestigious Palette and Chisel Academy in Chicago.

Currier is noted for his use of brilliant color and texture.  His vibrant impasto oil paintings often depict his travels in Europe and Mexico as well as the Skagit Valley, where he has resided for the past 17 years.
A book covering the past decade of his oeuvre was published in 2003  by Marquand Books in association with the University of Washington Press. Alfred Currier: Impasto was written by Ted Lindberg, former curator of the Vancouver Art Gallery.

His prices range from $700 to $16,000.
